“Nation 2.0” by Sasha Sime, Fakewhale Studio, Scerbo, and Nation 2.0, curated by Giuseppe Moscatello, at Art Dubai, Medina Jumeira, Dubai, 13 May – 17 May 2026.
Foundry announces its first participation in Art Dubai Digital 2026 with Nation 2.0, a site-specific installation curated by Giuseppe Moscatello.
Conceived as an infrastructural environment, the booth is organized around a central architectural framework integrating a sculptural installation by Sasha Sime alongside video works by Fakewhale Studio, Scerbo, and Nation 2.0.
The exhibition investigates how contemporary authority operates through systems rather than declarations, shaping the human condition and recalibrating behaviour in an era increasingly defined by artificial intelligence and autonomous processes. It traces the transition from extractive resource economies toward data-driven infrastructures, where value is generated through computation, circulation, and control.
Anchored by a monumental golden scaffolding structure emerging from a sand-covered floor, the installation is activated by dense black cables extending outward as visible conduits of transmission. Nation 2.0 positions the booth as a constructed environment in which infrastructure is no longer background, but the primary condition: an active system through which contemporary society is organized and experienced.
Nation 2.0 is a speculative platform exploring utopian and dystopian imaginaries through the intersection of curatorial practice, artistic production, and systems thinking.
