Yaloo, Pickled Chamber at Industrial Bank of Korea Headquarters, Seoul

“Pickled Chamber” by Yaloo, curated by Wooim Kim and Kihyun Na, at Industrial Bank of Korea Headquarters, Seoul, 04/12/2023 – 29/12/2023.

Pickled Chamber is a site-specific immersive installation at the historic 31 Building, Korea’s pioneering skyscraper. Pickled Chamber serves as a virtual portal that intricately weaves three worlds of Yaloo’s underwater trilogy: Homo Paulinella the Lab, Birthday Garden, and Pickled City. The piece draws inspiration from mythologies and scientific advancements propelled by technology while responding to the streets of Uljiro, where each corner unfolds diverse moments spanning centuries at the heart of Seoul.
