Fakewhale Cross presents CANVAS CODE: a Nifty Gateway drop
Standing as a testament to pictorial expression in all its transformative complexity, the dualistic interplay between traditional and digital art finds reconciliation within a language of texture, color, and perception — The canvas code.
On March 31st, 2023, Fakewhale Cross proudly presented CANVAS CODE, a collection featuring three digital artists who have mastered the art of painting with pixels including Ilya Shkipin, Reuss and Daniel Martin.
The release consisted of a Dynamic Open Edition model tied to one artwork per artist, with every Open Edition serving as a ticket into a drawing that started at 6:30 PM ET on 03/31 and closed at 6:30 PM ET on 01/04.
At the end of this drawing period, the placeholder was updated with the collected artwork: collectors whom purchased for the price of one piece, received a randomly selected piece among these three artworks. Instead, those who purchased for the price of three pieces, received all three pieces of the collection without any randomness involved.
